OFI missed a golden opportunity to reclaim third place on Sunday after going down to a surprise 2-1 defeat at Lamia, while Asteras Tripolis and Larissa shared the spoils of a 1-1 draw.
High-flying OFI had taken an 11th-minute lead thanks to an Adil Nabi goal, but they were pegged back by Rogerio Thuram’s equaliser on the stroke of half-time, and then Elini Dimoutsos clinched the three points for Lamia with a winning goal just before the hour mark.
It was a disappointing result for OFI, who defeated AEK 1-0 last weekend and were aiming to move above the Kitrinomavri, while Lamia moved up to eighth in the table as a result of their unexpected victory.
