Along with his father, Giannis and Ilias Poursanidis, backed by the Greek – American businessman, Michael Bousis, they succeeded in taking over OFI’s ownership and Wednesday, 10 of October was the beginning of the new era for the Cretan team.
The members of the OFI Crete board are:
Michael Bousis
Gregory Palivos
Evangelo Palivos
Georgios Samaras
Ilias Poursanidis
Iasonas Papastefanakis
Panagiotis Spyridakis
Michalis Mylonakis
Certain roles will be specified soon. There are rumours for Bousis being the president and Samaras the CEO, but we wil have to wait some days and see.
So, in just the age of 33, Georgios Samaras decided to end his notable football career to help his beloved OFI. Although, OFI fans would LOVE to see him play, even in one game, for the first time with OFI colours, as Georgios left for Holland and Heerenveen when he was only 16 years old.
