Anestis Nastos scored a stunner for OFI at Ergotelis, but the hosts struck an equaliser midway through the second half to complete a 1-1 draw between the two teams in the first leg of the Greek Cup Last 16 tie.

OFI opted for a defensive approach at the Pankritio Stadium, but thanks to Nastos’ beauty in the first half, they take the tie back to their arena with the away goal advantage. For their part, Ergotelis managed to create plenty of opportunities, but despite Giannis Iatroudis equalising, they couldn’t find the go-ahead goal.

Nastos scored the opener on 28 minutes. In space, the 29-year old lined up for a shot, smacking a fierce piledriver beyond the despairing dive of Ergotelis goalkeeper Dimitris Katsimitros. In response, Ergotelis took the initiative and should have conjured up an instant response, but OFI goaltender Giorgos Strezos stopped a powerful header at point blank range.

Ergotelis continued pressing, and with 22 minutes remaining, they eventually scored their equaliser. Gaining space on his marker, Iatroudis rose highest to meet a searching, heading into the net with the help of the crossbar. In the final stages, Ergotelis pressed OFI, but the away side held out to claim a precious 1-1 draw.
