Making a second-half comeback, OFI secured an important 3-1 win against Asteras Tripolis in Heraklion.
After a first half which saw both teams miss promising chances, Asteras took the lead six minutes into the second, as Luis Fernandez found himself clean through and stroked the ball under the goalkeeper.
Nevertheless, OFI only required five minutes to respond, with Joao Figueiredo tapping Adil Nabi’s cross into the net. Walter Iglesias was sent off for Asteras just four minutes later.
Playing with the initiative, the hosts made their man-advantage count, as Juan Neira scored an excellent individual effort and Lisandro Semedo completed the win when clear of the defence.
