OFI has returned to Iraklio after a 12 days pre-season training camp in the mountain town of Karpenisi.
There, the coach Nikos Papadopoulos had the chance to work with physical fitness and stamina. Also, some of the new season tactics were tested against two teams from the Greek Super League and one from Football League.
OFI Crete won two games and had one draw, without conceding any goals.
The Karpenisi friendly games:
21 July: OFI Crete – Apollon Smyrnis (SL) 2-0 (16'Neira, 44'Platellas)
25 July: OFI Crete – AE Larisa (SL) 1-0 (59'Korovesis)
28 July: OFI Crete – Panachaiki (FL) 0-0

It is very possible that there will be one more transfer, since the only typical striker in the OFI roster is the Ivorian Patrick Vouho.
It is still unknown when the 2018 – 2019 Super League games will start for sure, because there are still many teams negotiating their TV rights and this is an issue that affects the whole structure of the championship.
Presumably the League will start at 25th of August, if that problem is resolved.
