Niki Volou, a good 3rd division team, was an easy obstacle for OFI Crete, for the 2nd Round of the Greek Cup, Group 7.
Nikos Papadopoulos decided to give playing time to many players that weren’t regular so far.
OFI Crete finished off the game quite fast. Just 2 minutes in the game, Thanasis Ntinas was awarded a penalty. Christos Aravidis took the kick for 1-0.
In the 30st minute, Ntinas took the corner kick, Aravidis got the header, making it 2-0.
The game was practically over and OFI players saved their effort and energy for the next difficult League games.
4 minutes before full time, youngster Vaggelis Noikokyrakis was given another penalty. Aravidis took the kick again to complete his hat-trick, 3-0. They were his first goals this season and hopefully this will boost his confidence.
- Good news came from the Press Conference, as coach Papadopoulos stated that there are some hopes that Patrick Vouho will return to action from his ankle injury, earlier than it was estimated.
