OFI’s first home game in the Greek Super League didn’t have the outcome we all had hoped for.
Title contenders, PAOK Salonica were the favorites and succeeded to take a 3-1 victory.
Although, it was OFI that managed to score first, after 22 minutes with a nice shot from Manolis Papasterianos (1-0).
But PAOK came back before the half time, with Diego Biseswar (37’) and Leo Matos (45+4).
Visitors last goal came after 53 minutes, from Leo Jaba.
After 3 games OFI Crete has just 1 point on the league table, but there is optimism around the club, cause of the upcoming board takeover from the Greek – American businessman, Michael Bousis, supported by the OFI legends Giannis and Georgios Samaras and Ilias Poursanidis.
Next stop for Omilos, Xanthi (Sunday 23/9, 16.00)
