OFI SINK LEVADIAKOS IN RELEGATION SIX POINTER
OFI Crete clinched a crucial 2-0 home victory over fellow strugglers Levadiakos on Sunday to climb above their SuperLeague rivals and out of the relegation zone, pushing the Livadeia club into it in the process.
The Cretans produced a much-needed impressive performance, with goals from Giorgos Giakoumakis (16) and Felipe Souza (72) earned the three points for Jaime Vera’s side at the Theodoros Vardinogiannis Stadium in Irakleio.
OFI were also reduced to 10 men in added time when Vajebah Sakor was red-carded after picking up a second yellow card.
The result means OFI moved above Levadiakos into 14th place and two points clear of Nikos Karageorgiou’s team with five matches to play.
